Loss of My Life is a dark, emotionally intense romance that explores the fragile line between protection and possession, love and control, survival and sacrifice.
When Robin Blackwood’s quiet life begins to unravel, she doesn’t realise she has already stepped into the orbit of a man who changes everything. Zane Thorne is powerful, dangerous, and used to controlling every outcome long before problems have the chance to reach him. He notices Robin before she ever notices him — a flicker of unease on a dark street, two men watching her a little too closely, danger building in the shadows.
Zane was never meant to get involved.
He certainly wasn’t meant to care.
But the moment he steps between Robin and the threat closing in around her, the course of both their lives shifts. What begins as protection slowly twists into something deeper, darker, and far more complicated than either of them expected. As secrets surface and enemies circle closer, Robin finds herself trapped in a world where trust is fragile and safety always comes at a cost.
Love was never supposed to grow here.
And yet it does.
In a story filled with tension, obsession, and devastating choices, Loss of My Life explores what happens when love forms in the most dangerous of places — and what it can destroy when it finally breaks.

Este believed in the life she had built.
A successful diner, a loving husband, quiet evenings that felt safe and predictable, and a future that looked exactly the way it was supposed to. From the outside, everything about her life appears perfect — steady, happy, untouched by the kinds of secrets that ruin people.
But perfection rarely survives the truth.
Small things begin to feel wrong. Late nights. Half answers. The growing sense that the man she trusted most may not be the man she thought he was. Doubt creeps in slowly, settling in the corners of Este’s mind where she tries desperately to ignore it.
Then the notes begin to appear.
Anonymous. Quiet confirmations of the fear she has been trying not to name. Someone knows what is happening behind the carefully constructed façade of her marriage, and someone wants Este to see it too.
As suspicion turns into certainty, Este finds herself standing on the edge of a truth that could destroy everything she has built. Confronting it might shatter her life forever.
But staying silent might cost her far more.
In a story of secrets, betrayal, and the dangerous consequences of the truth, No Body, No Crime explores how quickly love can turn into something far darker — and how some choices can never be undone.
Iris has spent years watching love bloom everywhere but in her own life.
Her friends fall into it easily, as if the universe itself guides them toward the right person at the right moment. One by one they find someone who looks at them like they are the only thing that matters, someone who fits into their lives so naturally it feels like fate.
Iris celebrates with them. She laughs, she hugs them, she tells them how happy she is.
And she means it.
But when the music fades and the nights grow quiet again, she is left with a question that never seems to have an answer.
Why not her?
So Iris turns her hopes toward the sky.
Night after night she whispers the same prayer, asking the gods for the one thing she has never been given. Not perfection. Not a grand, impossible fairytale. Just someone who will love her, someone who will see her the way she has always dreamed of being seen.
For a long time, the heavens remain silent.
Until one day, they aren’t.
Because sometimes the gods answer prayers in ways no one could ever predict… and the love Iris begged for may arrive in a form she never expected.
Astra has spent her entire life fighting to remain her own person.
Growing up in a world where power decides everything and daughters are expected to obey, she has watched too many women lose themselves to the men meant to protect them. She promised herself long ago that she would never become one of them. No matter the pressure, no matter the expectations placed on her name, Astra refuses to surrender her independence.
But some promises are harder to keep than others.
Grayson Hayes is a man wrapped in silence and shadows. Dangerous, controlled, and impossible to read, he speaks with actions instead of words, carrying a vow that has stolen his voice and locked his past behind walls no one has ever been able to break through.
Their lives were never meant to collide.
Yet fate forces them together in ways neither of them can escape. What begins as obligation slowly becomes something far more complicated as tension grows between them, each moment blurring the line between resentment and something dangerously close to desire.
Astra doesn’t trust him.
Grayson shouldn’t care about her.
But silence has a way of revealing truths words never could.
And as secrets surface and the world around them grows more dangerous, both of them are forced to confront a question neither of them expected to face:
What happens when the one person you were never supposed to love becomes the only one you cannot lose?

"No Body, No Crime" - Bryan Pearce
This is my second read of this great novel. And let me just say, the writing is beautiful, it’s crafted soooo beautifully! I have loved the song: No Body, No Crime, for quite some time and I’ve always wanted it to be turned into a book or a movie. And when I found Ella on my FYP and saw her promoting her upcoming novel that was about the Taylor swift song, I drove write in. I finished it right on release day, I enjoyed it so much I had to read it again. I actually appreciate her sooo much for writing this, and she captured everything in the song I wanted in the movie or novel I dreamed about before this was out. It was crafted beautifully and was displayed in the best way possible. thank you, Ella Louise, for a novel I’ve read and enjoyed!
"No Body, No Crime" - Samantha
•I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review • Where do I begin?! This story was outside of my comfort zone but I really really enjoyed it! The writing can use a small amount of ‘polishing’ however it didn’t affect the story or the storytelling to the point where the flow was disrupted. The characters are well written from my perspective, my personal favourite is Oliver! The main couple is definitely a highlight for me too! I love their relationship and how they have been written. If you know me, you know that I do love some banter between characters, and this book definitely delivers! I do apologise if this is a vague review but I don’t want to spoil anything and I definitely recommend you pick up ‘Loss of My Life’ when you can! Thank you again to Ella for trusting me with an ARC I definitely enjoyed it!
"Loss of My Life" - Brooke Whitehead

"No Body, No Crime" - Antoinette
As one of Ella’s friends, I was given the opportunity to be one of the Arc Readers. This book was absolutely amazing. I remember when she first told me about the idea of Loss Of My Life. There were a few mistakes i noticed, but for the most part it was really good. The story is very dark and I was not prepared for what happened in the middle of the book, But overall. I really enjoyed it.

"No Body, No Crime" - Storm
This novel/novella was crafted so beautifully and exactly the thing I needed. It was woven with beautiful phrases and poetic words that are running through my mind, and will be for a long time. This book is everything I’ve been feeling the last couple of weeks in less than 100 pages. Let me tell you, Ella Louise knows how to write a good and poetic novel!
"Begged the Gods" - Samantha
Ella have created something beautiful here. The characters are too die for. I have my favorite character, Ollie and her best friend. While I love the main couple, I was drawn more to them and how they’re there for Robin. 4/5 stars for me and would read again. My heart hurts and I shall sue for emotional distress.
"Loss of My Life" - Mysti Daze
For all the T Swizzle lovers, you’re going to devour this book! Not my kind of genre, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It showcases mental struggles throughout all of the characters and leaves on a BIG ASS CLIFFHANGER.
"No Body, No Crime" - Ky
If i could give this book 6 stars I would. Ella has outdone herself with her 2nd release. My thoughts on Zane kept changing from chapter to chapter, which is quite rare for me. Robin was such a well written and strong character, and I admire her strength and courage. Oliver is just adorable and the type of friend everyone deserves. Not ashamed to say that the end broke my heart, Definitely looking forward to book 2 and seeing how Ella progresses such amazing character
